Sue Fennessy, Founder and CEO of The8App, is on a mission to bring power, as well as advertising dollars, back to the people who are creating the content instead of large tech companies who have been reaping the benefits from what their users have created. In this digital age of social media, we’ve all heard of the buzz word “influencer.”

These are users with over 100k followers. While this group does have the ability to sway others, they actually make up a small percentage of overall users. The vast majority of users has less than 100k followers, but is still creating tons of content and influencing their respective spheres. The8App is ushering in the era of the nano and micro influencer allowing them the opportunity to not only earn, but also give back and make a social impact.

Fennessy’s goal is to bring humanity back to technology, a space that can feel cold and opportunistic.
